Regents Exam Week - January 24 - 27

No Multi-Occupational/FOCUS classes January 24th and 25th

Multi-Occupational/FOCUS Programs are committed to offering programs that provide high school students the opportunity to develop the skills and attitudes they will need to succeed in their chosen career.  Multi-Occupational and FOCUS Programs combine real-life learning experiences, academic skills and business and industry partnerships to prepare our students for enty-level competitive employment and/or future education or skills development.

Multi-Occupational and FOCUS programs run from September through June. Students may be enrolled in Multi-Occupational programs for all or part of a school year and credit may be recommended proportional to the length of stay in the program. Students are strongly encouraged to stay for an entire school year in a FOCUS program and may receive credit for any program once. Students may, however, take another FOCUS program the following year. Participating students must be referred and enrolled by a school district (we do not accept independent or self-pay enrollment).

Multi-Occupational is a pre-career and technical program primarily for, but not limited to, high school students with special needs. The program operates in 80-minute blocks (7:45 - 9:05 am & 9:20 - 10:40 am). Students can choose among eight programs and are encouraged to explore two programs of study. The Multi-Occupational Baking program is offered at the American Red Cross. Small Animal Care and Handling is located at Lollypop Farm. (2 creidts)

The FOCUS programs (Foundations of Career and Universal Skills) prepare students for competitive, entry-level employment. FOCUS is primarily for, but not limited to, high school students with special needs. The program operates in a 2-hour 5-minute block (11:45 - 1:50 pm). (3 credits)
