START Program

Students and Teachers As a Resilient Team

The START Program is part of the Monroe #1 BOCES Central Campus and is designed for adolescent students who are working toward a high school diploma, but need a special education program provided in a small, supportive, and safe environment in order to be successful.
As a strong value-based community the START program promotes respect, resiliency and cooperation.

Students' academic and social-emotion needs are met through individual and/or small group instruction

What START means for students and parents -

"This program saved our son’s life."

"This is the first time I’ve been in a school where everyone liked me," former START student.

"You took a lonely, depressed, teenage boy and turned his whole life around."

START is a program of Monroe #1 BOCES
